Axiom is seeking experienced Employee Benefits/ERISA Lawyers to join their team, offering hybrid or remote opportunities to work with clients across various industries, including financial services, luxury retail, food and beverage, technology, and life sciences. The primary focus of this role is on health and welfare plans, providing legal counsel to ensure compliance and effective plan administration.

In this position, you will be responsible for advising clients on the design, implementation, and administration of health and welfare benefit plans, such as medical, dental, vision, life, disability, EAP, wellness, cafeteria plans, and FSAs/HSAs/HRAs. You will also counsel clients on compliance with ERISA, the Affordable Care Act (ACA), COBRA, HIPAA, MHPAEA, and related federal and state laws affecting group health plans. Additional duties include drafting, reviewing, and updating plan documents, SPDs, SBCs, required notices, and employee communications for health and welfare plans, as well as advising on plan governance and fiduciary compliance.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years of relevant legal practice experience in employee benefits/ERISA law, with a strong focus on health and welfare plans. A deep understanding of ERISA, the Internal Revenue Code, ACA, COBRA, HIPAA, MHPAEA, and other federal and state regulations impacting group health plans is essential. Experience with ERISA plan governance requirements, including drafting and maintaining plan documents, SPDs, and required notices, and advising on fiduciary processes for health and welfare plans is also required.

Compensation for this role is competitive, with the estimated total compensation for full-time Axiom attorney roles ranging from $104,500 to $325,000 per year.
