Enterprise Sales Engineer
As an Enterprise Sales Engineer at Box, you will be a key member of the Solutions Engineering Team, collaborating with business and IT leaders across various industries to craft customer-centric solutions. Box is a leader in Intelligent Content Management, providing a platform that enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage the entire content lifecycle, secure critical content, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI. This role is based in the San Francisco office, supporting enterprise clients to expand our footprint and break into new accounts.
In this position, you will research, explore, and identify customer business problems, thinking like a builder to experiment, iterate, and refine solutions to make every customer experience exceptional. You will own the technical win in your account, taking responsibility for driving the technical deal forward. Your day-to-day work will include understanding product integrations and MCP servers, leading demos articulating the value of Box's full suite of solutions—including BoxAI, Box Web, Mobile, Shield, Relay, Sign, Governance, Canvas, and Platform—and managing the extended team from a solution standpoint. Additionally, you will support field marketing events as a Box subject matter expert and presenter, with travel up to 50% to engage with customers in your territory.
The ideal candidate will have a four-year degree or equivalent work experience and at least 5 years of pre-sales, solutions engineering, or technical consulting experience within SaaS, enterprise software, AI, or cloud platforms. You should be AI-curious and technically fluent, comfortable discussing LLMs, embeddings, automation, and context and prompt engineering concepts with both technical and business audiences. Strong presentation skills are essential, with the ability to establish trust across a range of technical and non-technical audiences. Familiarity with APIs, webhooks, languages, and modern architectures (REST, OAuth, JSON, Python, JavaScript, etc.) is a plus, as is experience working with low-code/no-code automation tools such as Nintex, Zapier, Workado, or n8n.
