As an Engineering Team Leader at Remote, you will oversee a small product team of 3-5 engineers, guiding them to deliver high-quality software solutions. Your primary responsibilities will include managing the team's daily operations, participating in product development, and dedicating approximately 30% of your time to management tasks. You will be involved in the hiring and onboarding processes for new engineers, provide continuous and constructive feedback, and support the professional growth of your team members. Additionally, you will lead the redesign of engineering workflows to incorporate autonomous agents, propose and implement agentic workflows, and build reusable agentic workflows and primitives to enhance efficiency.

The ideal candidate will have experience managing an engineering team of at least two people and possess extensive experience with backend technologies such as Elixir/Phoenix, Ruby, or functional programming. A strong foundation in engineering principles, a proven track record of delivering secure and scalable production systems, and practical experience with agentic or automation workflows are essential. Excellent communication skills, organizational abilities, and a commitment to promoting diversity, equality, and inclusion are also required.
