The manager is expected to drive technical excellence in areas such as data accuracy, system performance, and cost efficiency. Collaboration with product managers and other platform teams is essential to define roadmaps and priorities, as well as to guide architectural decisions related to schema evolution, data consistency, and scalability. Participation in design and code reviews is also a critical aspect of the role.

Candidates should have 8–10+ years of software engineering experience, including at least 3 years in engineering management. Experience with stateful or data-intensive systems at scale and a strong understanding of distributed systems are required. The ability to coach and develop senior engineers and experience partnering with product teams on complex, platform-oriented problems are also important. Preferred qualifications include experience with high-QPS OLTP systems, data consistency, data modeling, schema evolution, and familiarity with cloud-native systems, particularly AWS.

The base salary for this position ranges from $176,000 to $264,000 USD annually. In addition to base salary, the total compensation package may include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits, depending on eligibility.
