Engineering Manager II, Extract

Box is seeking an Engineering Manager II to lead the Extract team, a pivotal component of Box's AI strategy focused on converting unstructured enterprise content into structured, actionable data. This role is based in Warsaw, Poland, and involves managing a team responsible for transforming advanced AI capabilities into scalable, customer-facing products.

The Engineering Manager II will oversee a team of 5–7 engineers, defining the team's roadmap, execution strategy, and ensuring strong delivery outcomes. Responsibilities include planning, estimation, execution, system design decisions, and fostering a collaborative team culture. The role also involves organizing team processes, collaborating with product and partner teams, managing cross-team dependencies, and proactively identifying risks.

Candidates should have over 2 years of engineering management experience with a strong technical background, a solid understanding of distributed systems and service-oriented architectures, and full-stack awareness. Experience in data-driven environments, building and growing teams, and effective stakeholder management is essential. Proficiency in English is required.
