Engineering Manager, Finance Engineering
The Engineering Manager for Finance Engineering at SeatGeek will lead a team of software and data engineers dedicated to modernizing the company's financial infrastructure. This role is pivotal in rethinking and rebuilding systems that enhance the understanding of fan purchases, marketplace settlements, and unit economics. SeatGeek, a mobile-focused ticket platform, aims to simplify and modernize the ticketing industry, providing users with a seamless experience for buying and selling tickets to live events.
In this position, the manager will oversee the technical vision for SeatGeek's core financial systems, including both custom and SaaS tools and integrations. Responsibilities include ensuring seamless data flow from upstream tools to the general ledger and billing systems, rapidly developing tools to improve interactions with financial data, and maintaining high standards of accuracy and operational excellence. The role also involves defining the architecture for the financial automation stack and collaborating with other leaders across the organization to resolve issues and drive initiatives forward.
Candidates should have over five years of experience in engineering roles focused on coding, with at least three years in engineering management leading productive teams. A proven track record in handling transactional data at scale within a SOX-controlled environment is essential. The ideal candidate will have experience building and leading lean teams, fostering collaborative and inclusive environments, and effectively communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Knowledge of financial tools and methods to support the team's success is also important.
Compensation for this role ranges from $171,000 to $248,000 per year, complemented by equity and a comprehensive benefits package.
