Klaviyo is seeking an Engineering Manager to lead the Data Automation team, which focuses on building tools and establishing best practices to enhance the company's real-time data analytics platform. This platform, primarily written in Python and hosted on AWS, supports massive scale and is integral to Klaviyo's mission of empowering creators to own their destiny.

In this role, you will be responsible for building and managing a team of over seven engineers to fulfill the data automation vision and roadmap. Key responsibilities include coaching engineers, managing and reviewing technical documentation, and articulating a phased approach to achieving the team's overall technical vision. You will also own the frameworks that enable provisioning, updating, testing, monitoring, and scaling infrastructure to power features relied upon by over 183,000 customers daily.

The ideal candidate will have a BA or BS degree in Computer Science or a related field, with at least eight years of software engineering experience in a DevOps environment, specifically with data processing systems. Additionally, a minimum of three years of people management experience is required. Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating reliable, fault-tolerant, and high-performance distributed systems is essential. Proficiency in a modern programming language such as Python, Ruby, or Go is also necessary.

Klaviyo offers a competitive base salary ranging from $176,000 to $264,000, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, education, and work location. The total compensation package may also include participation in the company's annual cash bonus plan, equity, sign-on payments, and a comprehensive range of health, welfare, and wellbeing benefits.

At Klaviyo, we value the unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives each team member brings to our workplace. We believe everyone deserves a fair shot at success and appreciate the experiences each person brings beyond the traditional job requirements. If you're ready to do the best work of your career, where you'll be welcomed as your whole self from day one and supported with generous benefits, we hope you'll join us.
