The District Education Advocate at Canva is a pivotal role within the Sales & Success team, focusing on driving transformative educational outcomes across school systems in South Korea. This 12-month contract position is based in Seoul and operates on a hybrid work model, combining in-office collaboration with flexible remote work options. As part of Canva's mission to empower the world to design, the role involves engaging with educators and administrators to integrate Canva's tools into educational settings.
In this role, you will oversee the entire lifecycle of district-level education partnerships, including strategy development, prospecting, planning, onboarding, execution, and results within identified school systems. A key responsibility is to build and maintain relationships with school system administrations, managing interactions with key stakeholders and decision-makers at national and provincial levels. This involves providing technical documentation, support, onboarding assistance, teacher development resources, Canva tips, and strategic guidance. Additionally, you will serve as an ambassador for Canva Education, fostering connections with teachers and educators within managed school systems. Your role also includes analyzing data to identify trends and usage patterns, shaping strategic approaches to sales and account management, and sharing insights with Canva’s Sales & Success, Product, and Marketing teams. Driving retention and engagement through continuous testing, learning, and iteration of lifecycle strategies is essential, as is identifying and securing new customers by targeting high-value school systems that have not yet adopted Canva.
Ideal candidates will have experience in the district education market, with a strong understanding of classroom efficiency solutions and the ability to communicate effectively with Instructional Technology Specialists and teachers on how Canva can enhance student learning outcomes through design and collaboration. Customer success expertise is crucial, particularly in driving retention and fostering engagement with software solutions at a district level. Excellent collaboration skills are necessary, as the role involves working closely with both direct teams and cross-functional teams. Experience in implementing new technologies within educational settings, along with effective communication skills that simplify complex concepts, is highly valued. Strong business planning skills, with the ability to move from planning through to implementation and deliver high-impact projects, are essential. Experience in community management, including understanding social media processes and tactics for educating audiences, is also beneficial. A growth mindset, with a desire to learn and develop skills while enjoying the journey, is a key attribute for success in this role.
