Director, Product Design - TMS & Private Dining

OpenTable is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead the design efforts for our Table Management System (TMS) and Private Dining teams. In this role, you will manage a global team of talented product designers, collaborating closely with product managers, engineers, researchers, data scientists, and brand designers to deliver exceptional experiences that positively impact restaurants and diners worldwide.

As the Director of Product Design, you will oversee design quality, foster innovation, and optimize processes within the UX team. Your responsibilities include mentoring and supporting the career growth of your direct reports, ensuring they are challenged and engaged. You will also work closely with cross-functional teams to balance user needs, team objectives, and business goals, driving consensus across multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in product design, with a proven track record of establishing and maintaining effective user experiences. You should have deep expertise in native apps and web platforms, exceptional visual design skills, and extensive experience in B2B or complex environments. Strong systems-thinking, analytical, and problem-solving abilities are essential, along with excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
