Director, Product Design - Diner

OpenTable is seeking a Director of Product Design to lead the design efforts across our Diner Platform teams. This senior leadership role involves managing a global team of nine designers, including two direct reports, and collaborating closely with cross-functional partners to enhance the dining experience for millions of users worldwide.

The Director will be responsible for leading and growing a high-performing design team by mentoring and developing designers and design managers. Key responsibilities include setting and driving design quality standards, partnering cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, and Research teams to align on direction, and creating and communicating a compelling design vision through clear storytelling and strong presentations.

Candidates should possess hands-on product design experience with a strong portfolio demonstrating impact at scale, deep expertise in both native apps and web experiences, and exceptional visual design skills with strong systems thinking. Strategic and communication skills are essential, including stakeholder management and the ability to build alignment across multiple teams and levels. A proven track record of growing designers and design managers, along with a collaborative nature and a commitment to continuous improvement, are also required.
