The Director, Algo Trading/SOR Developer at Galaxy is a pivotal role within the company's trading technology team. Additionally, the Director will integrate the smart order router with the trading, booking, and reporting systems, monitor and optimize system performance under real-world trading conditions, mentor junior developers, enforce code quality standards, and contribute to architectural decisions.
Candidates should possess over 10 years of experience developing routing strategies for specific markets, such as U.S. equities, EU markets, or crypto exchanges. Essential skills include knowledge of tick data analytics, real-time market data processing, and familiarity with cloud-based market access or hybrid deployments. Experience in high-frequency or algorithmic trading environments, building low-latency systems, and working with multicast/unicast market data feeds is crucial. A solid understanding of the application stack and infrastructure associated with electronic and algorithmic trading, proficiency in FIX protocol, and experience with Linux systems and performance profiling tools are also required. A proactive, problem-solving mindset and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment are essential.
