DevOps Engineer
As a DevOps Engineer at Octus, you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and maintaining the cloud infrastructure for our products. This position involves close collaboration with application developers, data engineers, site reliability engineers, security, and IT professionals to automate and streamline operations and processes. Your contributions will be essential in ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of our systems and applications.
Key responsibilities include designing, implementing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to automate build, test, and deployment processes. You will manage and optimize cloud infrastructure to ensure scalability, performance, and cost-effectiveness, with experience in AWS being advantageous. Additionally, you will work closely with site reliability engineering to develop and maintain monitoring and alerting systems, collaborate with security teams to enforce best practices, and participate in disaster recovery and business continuity planning.
The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in a DevOps role and a minimum of 2 years of experience with Terraform. Expert knowledge of cloud services such as EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, and VPC is required, along with strong Linux proficiency and scripting skills for automation. Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools, containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools such as Jenkins or GitHub Actions is also essential. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are crucial.
Octus offers a competitive salary range of $165,000 to $190,000 for this position, with actual compensation determined based on experience, skills, and business needs.
