Developer Relations Engineer
The Developer Relations Engineer at Box plays a pivotal role in inspiring and equipping developers to build intelligent content-driven applications. As part of the Developer Relations team, this position serves as the face of Box within developer communities, on conference stages, and across various content channels. Box, a leader in Intelligent Content Management, enables organizations to fuel collaboration, manage content lifecycles, secure critical information, and transform business workflows with enterprise AI.
Key responsibilities include driving content production by owning the pipeline from ideation to publication, encompassing technical blog posts, webinars, demo videos, and case studies. The role also involves attending and delivering talks at developer and AI engineering conferences, building relationships with organizers, and partnering with go-to-market teams on lead capture and follow-up. Additionally, the engineer will build extensions and plugins for popular AI libraries and frameworks, embed in developer communities to surface insights, and improve onboarding content based on identified friction points.
The ideal candidate is deeply committed to serving developers and ensuring their success. They possess prior experience in engineering or developer relations roles, have a passion for creating new applications enabled by cutting-edge technologies, and are both strong technical writers and dynamic public speakers. Proficiency in either Python or JavaScript is required. Preferred qualifications include active participation in the AI developer ecosystem, experience with open-source contributions or AI application development, and a working knowledge of Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) and AI Agent development.
Box offers a competitive compensation package, with a salary range of $165,000 to $206,500 USD annually.
