Design Lead - Korea
The Design Lead - Korea at Canva is responsible for developing a compelling creative vision that aligns with the strategic priorities set by the Country Content Strategy Lead and Country Manager. This role involves close collaboration with local Marketing, SEO, and Community teams to translate regional strategies into locally relevant campaigns. Additionally, the Design Lead drives AI adoption in production and content innovation, ensuring that creative outputs remain fresh and competitive.
Key responsibilities include overseeing the creation of various content types such as design kits, campaign documents, creator briefs, and in-house productions. The Design Lead ensures that all copy is culturally relevant and adheres to best practice standards. They also curate content for marketing initiatives, showcases, and seasonal calendars to enhance local relevance. Proactively identifying content gaps and curating assets that reflect strategic priorities and creative excellence are also essential aspects of the role.
The ideal candidate possesses a Bachelor's degree in Design, Marketing, Communications, or a related field, along with proven experience in creative leadership roles, ideally with international, regional, or market-level responsibilities. A strong portfolio showcasing exceptional design work and content campaigns that reflect cultural resonance and local user needs is required. Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, and a results-focused mindset are also important. Additionally, experience managing freelancers and/or creators, and comfort working in a fast-paced, evolving environment with an experimentation mindset are valuable qualifications.
