Data Scientist
Structure Therapeutics is seeking a highly motivated Data Scientist to join our Biometrics and Data Management group. This role focuses on advancing our data science platform and developing scalable tools to support evolving business needs. As a key contributor in a multidisciplinary environment, you will collaborate closely with clinical scientists, biostatisticians, data managers, and other stakeholders to design and implement robust data-driven solutions that accelerate decision-making and improve patient outcomes.
Key responsibilities include collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand business needs and gather insights for internal data science tool development. You will enhance existing platforms by contributing to their development, validation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance. Additionally, you will develop and validate data science tools for clinical research and trial optimization, transforming experimental analyses into robust, scalable, and reusable software components. Ensuring the scalability, maintainability, and reliability of analytical solutions through software engineering best practices is also a critical aspect of this role.
The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, with a minimum of 10 years of data science experience for Bachelor's degree holders, 8 years for Master's, or 4 years for Ph.D. holders. At least 3 years of hands-on experience developing production-grade software in programming languages such as Python or R is required. A demonstrated understanding of software architecture, performance optimization, and validation is essential. Strong expertise in machine learning and deep learning techniques, familiarity with data visualization tools, and strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills are also necessary. Experience with GitHub is expected.
Preferred qualifications include a Master's or Ph.D. degree in Computer Science, Machine Learning, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field. Experience with cloud-computing platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization (e.g., Docker) is advantageous. Experience in creating Large Language Models (LLMs) and GenAI-based solutions in a production environment, as well as designing and implementing CI/CD pipelines, is also desirable.
The target salary range for this full-time role is $161,000 - $202,950, plus bonus, equity, and benefits. Structure Therapeutics determines salary ranges based on the level and scope of responsibilities, as well as location. Individual pay is further determined by additional factors, including relevant experience, specific job skills, education, and training.
