Data Science Intern
Visier Solutions Inc. is seeking a Data Science Intern to join our Research and Development team from May to December 2026. As a global leader in AI-powered people analytics, workforce planning, and compensation management solutions, Visier empowers organizations to make informed decisions by unlocking the potential of their human resource data. In this role, you will collaborate with experienced data scientists to model complex business problems, identify and analyze relevant data, and develop statistical and machine learning models. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include performing statistical analyses, selecting appropriate metrics to evaluate model performance, and effectively communicating your findings to stakeholders across the organization. Additionally, you will conduct independent research to deepen your domain knowledge and stay abreast of cutting-edge techniques in the field.
The ideal candidate is currently pursuing a Master's or PhD degree and possesses a strong understanding of statistics and the application of scientific methods to data analysis. Proficiency in programming languages such as Scala or Python is essential, along with keen attention to detail and the ability to think holistically about complex problems. Familiarity with hypothesis testing, machine learning techniques, and scientific analysis will be advantageous.
The base pay for this position is CAD $5,500 per month. Compensation will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and skills. Additional types of compensation, such as commission plans or bonuses, may be available and will be discussed during the interview process.
