Data Architect
Inspire Medical Systems, Inc. is seeking a Data Architect to lead the evolution of its enterprise data architecture, enabling analytics, reporting, governance, integration, and AI capabilities. This role involves designing scalable data models and platforms, establishing governance standards, and aligning data strategies with business objectives. The Data Architect will collaborate with business and technology teams to modernize data platforms and guide distributed engineering teams in delivering reliable data solutions.
Key responsibilities include designing modern data architectures using Medallion and Lakehouse principles, establishing architecture standards and governance practices, defining trusted data products for analytics and decision-making, leading enterprise data modeling and contract strategy, and partnering with stakeholders to align architecture investments with business outcomes and regulatory requirements. The role also involves driving data platform modernization, establishing data-driven KPIs, and mentoring technical talent.
Candidates should have over 8 years of experience designing enterprise-scale data platforms and analytics solutions, strong expertise in data modeling and database design, experience with modern Lakehouse or Medallion data warehouse architectures, and proficiency in defining integration patterns using APIs and event-driven architecture. An understanding of data governance, privacy, and compliance considerations within regulated industries is essential, along with experience leading architecture decisions across multiple business domains and strong communication skills.
The compensation for this position ranges from $175,000 to $215,000 annually, with additional benefits including health insurance, 401(k) matching, employee stock purchase plan (ESPP), flexible time off (FTO), and tuition reimbursement.
