Data Analyst, Product Strategy & AI
AlphaSense is seeking a highly analytical and entrepreneurial Data Analyst to join our Product Strategy & AI team. In this role, you will serve as the analytical engine for our Product Management team, bridging the gap between raw data and strategic product decisions. This position is based in New York City and offers the opportunity to work closely with cross-functional teams to drive data-driven insights.
As a Data Analyst, you will tackle complex product questions, such as assessing the impact of our Generative AI features on user retention and habit formation. You will also architect infrastructure that enables Product Managers to query our BigQuery database using natural language, transitioning our analytics model to a real-time, AI-empowered ecosystem. Your day-to-day work will involve conducting deep-dive analyses of product usage, identifying trends and opportunities, and translating complex data into clear narratives that inform key business decisions.
The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of product strategy and key metrics, exceptional communication skills, and the ability to influence decision-making across cross-functional teams. Expert-level proficiency in SQL is required, along with comfort in using Python and working with APIs, Large Language Models (LLMs), and agentic frameworks. A curiosity for exploring new AI frameworks and the adaptability to apply them to business problems are essential. Experience collaborating with remote technical teams and the ability to work effectively with both local and international colleagues are also important.
AlphaSense offers a competitive base compensation range of $158,000 to $217,000 USD, along with performance-based bonuses, equity options, and a generous benefits program.
