Customer Integration Engineer
As a Customer Integration Engineer at Wayve, you will play a pivotal role in supporting clients throughout the development lifecycle, from initial integration to final validation of our AI technology. This position bridges the gap between customer vehicle integration teams and Wayve's internal engineering teams, ensuring seamless incorporation of our autonomous driving solutions into various vehicle platforms.
Your primary responsibilities will include providing hands-on technical support during development and validation phases, troubleshooting and resolving technical issues independently, and escalating complex problems to appropriate internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will develop a deep understanding of customer systems and APIs, such as drive-by-wire, to effectively guide internal teams and maintain a system-level perspective to identify root causes of issues, whether vehicle-based or software-related.
The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and analytical thinking, proven experience leading investigations into platform or vehicle issues in collaboration with internal and customer teams, and extensive hands-on experience with development vehicles. Proficiency with diagnostic and calibration tools like CANape, familiarity with terminal usage and basic programming skills, and a solid understanding of vehicle communication protocols (e.g., CAN, Ethernet) and automotive system architectures are essential. Practical experience in an automotive environment, ideally with a track record of bringing products to production, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration, is also required. A willingness to travel as needed is expected.
This full-time role is based in Sunnyvale, California, or Detroit, Michigan, with a hybrid working policy that combines time in our offices and workshops to fuel innovation, culture, relationships, and learning, along with time spent working from home. We operate core working hours, allowing you to determine the schedule that works best for you and your team.
At Wayve, we value diversity, embrace new perspectives, and foster an inclusive work environment., fair, and respectful culture that is inclusive of everyone based on their unique skills and perspectives. If you're passionate about self-driving cars and believe you have what it takes to make a positive impact on the world, we encourage you to apply.
