Competition Associate
Axiom Talent Platform is seeking a Competition Associate to join their esteemed team in Sydney, Australia. This role involves advising clients across sectors such as technology, telecommunications, manufacturing, and healthcare on compliance and approvals related to the Australian Competition and Consumer Commission (ACCC). The Competition Associate will be responsible for guiding clients through obtaining ACCC clearance for mergers, acquisitions, and various commercial transactions. The role includes representing clients in ACCC investigations and enforcement actions concerning cartel conduct, misuse of market power, and other anti-competitive behaviors. Additionally, the associate will manage competition and consumer-related litigation and disputes, advise on transaction structures, marketing strategies, product recalls, and assist in developing internal compliance frameworks.
Candidates should possess 2–6 years of post-qualification experience in a reputable private practice environment, with exposure to competition law through advisory work, investigations, or disputes. A strong academic background and a commitment to continuous professional development are essential. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, along with the ability to perform effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
