This full-time, permanent position offers an opportunity to contribute to the firm's dynamic marketing team, focusing on media relations, internal communications, publications, and digital platforms. The role reports directly to the Senior Communications and Digital Marketing Manager and collaborates closely with the Business Development team, partners, and practice groups to ensure consistent communication of the firm's brand, values, and market positioning across all channels.

The Communications Coordinator will be responsible for developing and implementing internal and external communication strategies that align with the firm's priorities and brand positioning. Key duties include drafting and distributing media releases, thought leadership pieces, and editorial content, ensuring accuracy and consistency with the firm's writing guidelines and tone of voice. The role also involves managing the firm's digital communication channels, such as newsletters, alumni updates, podcasts, and social media, to ensure they are engaging, relevant, and aligned with brand guidelines. Additional responsibilities encompass supporting media relations activities, including managing relationships with journalists, responding to media inquiries, and coordinating interview and commentary opportunities. The coordinator will collaborate with stakeholders to create, edit, and publish thought leadership, news, and publications on the firm's website, contribute to internal communications initiatives to keep employees informed and engaged, and support corporate social responsibility and diversity and inclusion communications to promote the firm's initiatives and impact. Monitoring industry trends, competitor activity, and emerging communication practices to identify opportunities for improvement and differentiation is also a key aspect of the role.

Ideal candidates will have experience working in a law firm or professional services environment and exposure to supporting the development and delivery of communication initiatives and campaigns. Experience assisting with media relations, including drafting media materials and coordinating with journalists, is essential. Familiarity with digital platforms such as social media, newsletters, podcasts, and web publishing is required. An interest in the legal industry and its trends, with the ability to help translate complex information into clear and engaging content, is highly desirable. Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to tailor content for different audiences and channels, are crucial.
