Commercial Counsel, Sales

Axon, a leading provider of public safety technology, is seeking a Corporate Counsel to join its contracts and corporate team, focusing on supporting global sales operations. This role involves collaborating with various departments, including Sales, Supply Chain, Software and Hardware Engineering, Product, and IT, to structure and negotiate complex transactions, as well as developing processes to support Axon's rapidly scaling business.

Key responsibilities include providing legal advice on transactional matters related to the sale of Axon's products and services, such as structuring, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for goods, services, and SaaS solutions. The role also involves supervising Contracts Managers, setting acceptable risk levels, and leading the development and implementation of contract lifecycle management systems.

Candidates should have a minimum of three years of experience negotiating and managing complex commercial contracts, preferably in-house, with the ability to structure, draft, and negotiate a high volume of contracts, including those for SaaS, hardware, and services. Experience with SaaS, IaaS, and/or PaaS contracts, as well as negotiating international agreements, is essential. A J.D. and membership in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar are required.
