Commercial Contracts Lawyer

Axiom is seeking a Commercial Contracts Lawyer to join its team in Toronto, Canada. The role involves collaborating with clients from leading retail, technology, consumer goods, and professional services sectors. In this position, the lawyer will draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial contracts, including vendor agreements, supply agreements, IT agreements, licensing agreements, SaaS agreements, service agreements, and non-disclosure agreements. Ensuring compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and company policies is a key responsibility. The role also involves advising on and negotiating terms and conditions with external vendors, customers, and suppliers, as well as identifying and evaluating legal and business risks associated with commercial contracts and developing strategies to mitigate those risks.

Candidates should have a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial contract drafting, negotiation, and management, with in-house experience preferred. A strong understanding of corporate and commercial law, with experience across multiple industries, is advantageous. Active membership in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario is required.
