Octus is seeking a highly motivated Client Solutions Specialist to support the firm's expansion strategy. This hybrid role sits at the intersection of Sales and Product, offering a high-impact, client-facing position ideal for a commercially minded professional with deep financial services experience and a passion for credit. Working closely with Account Managers and Product Owners, the specialist will play a central role in driving the successful adoption of Octus's newest and strategic news, analysis, data, and workflow solutions. This position is based in New York, with an in-office requirement of three days per week.

Key responsibilities include managing trials and conducting solutions-based demonstrations for the Sell-Side/Advisory segment, partnering with Account Managers to execute demos and trials for designated cross-sell opportunities within global banks and boutique advisory firms. The specialist will serve as the solutions expert during the sales cycle, conducting persona-based, solutions-focused demonstrations to ensure effective product adoption during the trial phase. Additionally, the role involves developing customized trial plans, success criteria, and compelling use cases tailored to each client's specific workflow, as well as documenting and standardizing successful trial methodologies to create scalable playbooks and sales enablement materials for the wider sales organization.

The ideal candidate will possess deep credit and market expertise, gained through a minimum of five years of experience at financial institutions, investment banks, or buy-side firms. A minimum of eight years in a client-facing role within the financial technology or professional services industry, such as Solutions Consulting or Product Specialist positions, is required. The candidate should have a proven ability to understand complex financial workflows and articulate how data, news, and analytical tools can solve specific business problems for Sell-Side/Advisory clients. Experience with new product introductions or significant feature launches, understanding of the sales process including trial design, qualification, and closing, and exceptional presentation, demonstration, and communication skills are essential. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field is also required.

Octus offers a competitive base salary range of $170,000 to $200,000, plus an on-target incentive.
