Business Development Representative (San Francisco, CA)
As a Business Development Representative at Box, you will be an integral part of our sales team, focusing on engaging potential customers and fostering relationships with both new and existing clients. In this role, your primary responsibilities will include generating sales-ready meetings and opportunities for Mid-Market or Enterprise Account Executives by adhering to Box's qualification criteria. You will initiate exploratory conversations with key decision-makers at targeted accounts, create strategic target account lists within a defined territory based on research, and connect with potential clients through initial outreach via phone and email to understand their requirements. Additionally, you will utilize Salesforce to manage leads and track metrics, ensuring alignment with Box's standards, and collaborate cross-functionally with various teams within the organization.
The ideal candidate is highly motivated, driven, and self-starting, with a positive attitude and a desire to grow and advance in a sales career. While no prior experience is required, preferred qualifications include at least one year of experience in Sales or Business Development, customer-facing experience with strong problem-solving skills, and a track record of success in performance and metrics-driven roles. Excellent time management and interpersonal skills are essential, along with the ability to work effectively in a dynamic team environment.
