Backend Software Engineer III, File System
Box is seeking a Backend Software Engineer III to join the Content Capabilities team in Warsaw, Poland. This team is dedicated to developing innovative platform capabilities that support the next phase of growth for the Box Content Cloud, enabling intuitive and scalable experiences for millions of users. The role offers the opportunity to work on challenging problems in content management, directly impacting the productivity of users at leading enterprises.
In this position, you will collaborate with engineering leadership to devise strategies for evolving the platform, work with product management to refine requirements, and lead the development of complex projects. Your responsibilities will include designing and implementing scalable services with a focus on reliability and efficiency, improving existing codebases and infrastructure, and utilizing technologies such as Kubernetes, Docker, BigTable, Elasticsearch, Spark, and Istio. Additionally, you will mentor new engineers and participate in the on-call rotation to address any arising issues.
The ideal candidate has over three years of professional software development experience in building high-scale services, with strong proficiency in Java. Experience in designing, building, and deploying high-quality software is essential, along with a passion for solving complex technical problems using data-driven solutions.
