Associate, US Policy
Galaxy is seeking a Policy Associate to join its policy team in Washington, DC, focusing on digital assets policymaking and legislation for both internal and external clients. Galaxy is a global leader in digital assets and data center infrastructure, delivering solutions that accelerate progress in finance and artificial intelligence.
The Policy Associate will support the Head of Policy in developing regulatory and legislative engagement plans, advising senior leadership on key policy issues, and monitoring regulatory, legislative, and policy developments at the U.S. federal and state levels. Responsibilities include building and maintaining relationships with policymakers, regulators, industry associations, and key stakeholders to advance Galaxy’s policy interests. The role also involves representing Galaxy in policy discussions and industry meetings, preparing policy briefings, comment letters, testimony, and advocacy materials, and serving as a thought leader on various crypto topics. Additionally, the associate will embrace and champion the thoughtful adoption of AI to improve team performance and business outcomes.
Candidates should have at least 4 years of professional experience in financial services policy, with a strong understanding of federal and state legislative and regulatory processes, particularly as they relate to digital assets and financial services. An advanced degree in public policy, law, business, or a related field is preferred. Experience working in digital assets in Congress or within a market (SEC, CFTC) and/or prudential (Fed, OCC, FDIC) regulator is strongly preferred. Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential, along with the ability to explain complex topics clearly and concisely to a non-technical audience. The role requires the capability to self-direct and drive projects with minimal supervision, effectively managing time and resources to meet deadlines and achieve desired outcomes.
