Additionally, the position entails determining the prioritization, timeline, and resource needs for strategic initiatives, driving cross-functional team execution, and establishing communication lines with internal subject matter experts and business counterparts to inform strategic initiatives and build cohesive AbbVie strategies.
Candidates should possess a law degree from an ABA-accredited law school and be in good standing with the state bar of the jurisdiction where the office is located. A minimum of 10 years of relevant experience in the pharmaceutical industry, either in-house or at a law firm, is required. Applicants should have significant industry experience, preferably within a pharmaceutical company or health insurer, with a deep understanding of the U.S. healthcare sector and its laws and regulations. Strong organizational, analytical, communication, leadership, and influence skills are essential, along with the ability to present complex information concisely to senior leaders. Demonstrated success in solving complex problems and proactively shaping the external environment is crucial, as is experience managing high-visibility, high-impact projects with a strategic and collaborative approach. The role also demands adaptability to changing environments while handling multiple priorities and the ability to coordinate and facilitate cross-functional efforts, gaining alignment from internal and external stakeholders in matrixed environments.
The compensation range for this position is between $177,000 and $336,000 annually, depending on factors such as geographic location and individual qualifications. The role is eligible to participate in AbbVie's short-term incentive programs.
