Associate Attorney
Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney to join their dynamic team in Orange County, California. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing compelling case strategies, managing court appearances, depositions, motion practice, and trials independently. The role involves collaborating seamlessly with attorneys and staff at all experience levels, maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients, and building and nurturing relationships with existing and prospective clients. Additionally, the attorney will mentor and provide guidance to junior attorneys, contributing to the team's growth and success.
Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active bar license in the state of California. The firm seeks individuals with 1–8 years of solid litigation experience, including case strategy, depositions, and trial preparation. The ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial is essential. Prior insurance defense experience is preferred, along with familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint, strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills, and excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities are also required.
The base salary for this position ranges from $115,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers aggregating at $7,500 each.
