Tyson & Mendes LLP is seeking an Associate Attorney specializing in employment defense to join their dynamic team in Fresno, California. The Associate Attorney will be responsible for developing effective case strategies, managing court appearances, conducting depositions, and overseeing motion practices and trials. Collaboration with attorneys and staff at all levels is essential, as is maintaining consistent and professional communication with clients. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior attorneys and fostering relationships with both existing and prospective clients.

Candidates must possess a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and hold an active California bar license. A minimum of 3 to 7 years of litigation experience is required, with at least 2 years in employment defense preferred. The ability to independently manage a full caseload from discovery through trial is crucial. Familiarity with litigation timekeeping and billing systems, proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, and strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills are also necessary.

The compensation package includes a base salary ranging from $115,000 to $160,000 annually, depending on experience and qualifications. Attorneys are eligible for an annual billable hours bonus starting at $10,000, with additional tiers available.
