Application Software Engineer
As an Application Software Engineer at Wayve, you will join our Germany-based team within the Application Engineering organization, focusing on localizing and advancing our autonomous driving technology for the German market. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to shaping our autonomous vehicle capabilities in Germany from the ground up.
Your primary responsibilities will include executing software bring-up on customer hardware platforms such as NVIDIA Drive and Qualcomm Ride. You will port and configure Linux-based systems, QNX, and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments, integrate and validate drivers and middleware, and implement system-level diagnostics and secure boot configurations. Collaboration with cross-functional teams across Verification, Release, and OEM partners will be essential to ensure smooth integration and reliable delivery.
We are seeking candidates with over 8 years of experience in embedded or automotive software development, particularly with hands-on platform bring-up experience. Strong proficiency in C/C++, Bash, and Python is required, along with a deep understanding of Linux-based embedded systems, including Yocto, systemd, bootloaders, and device trees. Familiarity with QNX and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments, experience with automotive-grade SoCs, and comfort working with hardware debuggers and communication protocols like CAN and Ethernet are also essential.
This full-time role is based in our office in Leonberg, Germany.
