Application Software Engineer - Embedded Software C++
As an Application Software Engineer specializing in Embedded Software C++, you will be instrumental in localizing and advancing Wayve's autonomous driving technology for the U.S. market. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute directly to the development and integration of cutting-edge AI software into automotive platforms, ensuring seamless performance across diverse hardware and operating systems.
Your primary responsibilities will include executing software bring-up on customer hardware platforms such as NVIDIA Drive and Qualcomm Ride, porting and configuring Linux-based systems, QNX, and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments, and integrating drivers, middleware, and boot-time configurations. Additionally, you will collaborate closely with Verification, Release, and OEM teams to resolve hardware-specific integration issues and implement system-level diagnostics, logging, and secure boot configurations.
The ideal candidate will possess over eight years of experience in embedded or automotive software development, with hands-on platform bring-up expertise. Proficiency in C/C++, Bash, and Python is essential, along with a deep understanding of Linux-based embedded systems, including Yocto, systemd, bootloaders, and device trees. Familiarity with QNX and Adaptive AUTOSAR environments, experience with automotive-grade SoCs, and knowledge of communication protocols like CAN, Ethernet, PCIe, SPI, and I2C are also required.
