Backblaze is seeking an Account Executive for NeoCloud in the UK to drive new business by targeting top NeoCloud providers worldwide. This role involves managing the entire sales cycle, from prospecting to contract signing, within a remote setting. The position reports directly to the Head of NeoCloud Sales.
In this role, you will develop and execute strategies to engage named NeoCloud accounts, building relationships with stakeholders ranging from infrastructure engineers to C-level executives. Your responsibilities include conducting technical discovery sessions, collaborating with Sales Engineering and Field CTO teams for proof-of-concept testing, and negotiating complex multi-year agreements. You will also coordinate with internal teams such as Cloud Operations and Engineering to ensure seamless integration and maintain accurate forecasts in the CRM.
Ideal candidates will have a proven track record in infrastructure sales, particularly in closing complex, multi-year deals related to storage, cloud, compute, networking, or data center infrastructure. Technical fluency in GPU clusters, networking, and storage is essential, along with experience in building relationships with senior executives. A proactive, hunter-driven approach to opening new accounts and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams are key.
