Accounts Receivable Specialist servicing Canada

Actionstep, a global leader in legal practice management software, is seeking an Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our dynamic finance team. This role is pivotal in managing the full lifecycle of accounts receivable activities, ensuring accurate financial data processing and maintaining strong customer relationships. In this position, you will be responsible for monitoring aged debts, implementing strategies to manage overdue payments, and maintaining regular contact with customers to follow up on outstanding balances. Your day-to-day tasks will include managing the accounts inbox, addressing queries promptly, processing customer payments, preparing consolidated monthly billing spreadsheets, investigating disputes, and processing credit notes as required. Additionally, you'll assess delinquent accounts and recommend actions for bad debts.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in accounts receivable or a similar role, excellent customer service skills with a polite and firm manner, and strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel. Confidence, professionalism, and perseverance are essential, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills. A questioning approach, attention to detail, and the ability to manage workload effectively under pressure are also key attributes. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field is desirable, as is experience with NetSuite.
