Account Manager
As an Account Manager on Square's SMB Retail team, you will play a pivotal role in empowering small and medium-sized retail businesses to thrive using Square's comprehensive suite of products. Reporting to the Retail team lead, you will build meaningful partnerships with clients, understand their unique needs, and craft innovative solutions to help them achieve their business goals.
In this role, you will be responsible for growing and retaining a multi-million dollar customer base. Your day-to-day activities will include cross-selling and upselling products based on discovered customer needs, effectively addressing customer concerns, and collaborating with Sales, Support, and Product teams to ensure a seamless customer experience across all aspects of Square.
The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of experience in Sales, Account Management, or a related field, with a proven track record of discovering and closing sales opportunities and building strong client relationships. Excellent organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills are essential. A passion for leveraging new technologies to better serve small and medium-sized businesses is highly valued, and experience within the retail industry is preferred.
