X1 SABRE (REF) Junior-Mid Associate
Clifford Chance is seeking a Junior to Mid-Level Associate to join its Real Estate Finance team, a Tier 1 ranked group in both Chambers and Legal 500. The team handles transactions across the UK and Europe, often involving cross-border elements. The firm offers a comprehensive, multi-disciplinary approach, providing clients with integrated advice covering finance, real estate, tax, corporate, capital markets, and restructuring.
In this role, the associate will manage complex real estate finance transactions, including investment finance, development finance, loan-on-loan structures, senior/mezzanine finance, CMBS, and CRE CLOs. Responsibilities encompass drafting and reviewing core legal documents, structuring deals, leading transaction management alongside partners, and delivering concise, market-informed legal advice. The associate will also oversee execution processes, supervise junior team members, and develop client relationships through training and networking.
The ideal candidate will have outstanding experience in real estate finance, likely gained at a leading practice known for its work in this market. An outstanding academic history and proven first-rate legal skills are essential, combined with a strong reputation among existing clients for providing commercial solutions to complex problems and demonstrating excellent transaction management skills. Excellent document drafting skills, strong communication and analytical abilities, and a high level of commercial awareness are required. The candidate should also have a strong track record of working collaboratively with multi-jurisdictional and multi-disciplinary teams.
