The Workforce Planning Director at Datavant will lead the strategic workforce planning discipline within the Provider Business Unit, enabling the company to anticipate operational needs and scale effectively. This role involves defining the long-term workforce strategy, balancing demand forecasts, staffing capacity, productivity, and cost efficiency. The director will serve as the primary architect for workforce planning processes and governance, driving alignment between operational performance, financial planning, and business objectives.

Key responsibilities include collaborating with the Business Intelligence Team to develop and improve the Workforce Management Solutions Suite, encompassing demand forecasting, capacity planning, and scheduling to optimize staffing across onsite, remote, and global personnel. The director will convene subject matter experts to enhance forecasting methodologies, account for seasonal and cyclical business variations, and incorporate other factors impacting volume and capacity forecasts into the model. Additionally, the role involves regularly analyzing and communicating capacity and productivity trends and performance metrics, providing actionable insights and recommendations to leadership, and partnering with the corporate finance team to assess the impact of labor productivity and efficiency programs.

Candidates should possess a minimum of 8 years of relevant experience in leading workforce management and capacity planning at a large organization, preferably within the healthcare or release-of-information industry. A bachelor's degree in Business or a related field is required, with an MBA considered a plus. The ideal candidate will have a proven ability to develop and lead a workforce planning function at a company with at least 1,000 personnel, experience working with business intelligence teams to develop and optimize integrated volume and capacity forecasting models, and a track record of partnering with executive teams to translate data into workforce strategy. Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, strong business acumen, analytical skills, and the ability to lead through influence in a distributed and matrixed environment are also essential.

The estimated base salary range for this role is $181,300 to $200,000 USD, with eligibility for additional variable compensation.
