Xometry is seeking a highly experienced and strategic Vice President of Sales Engineering to lead our growing team of sales engineers. In this critical role, you'll be responsible for driving technical pre-sales support, solution architecture, and product demonstrations to prospective and existing enterprise customers. You will play a pivotal role in accelerating revenue growth by ensuring our sales team is equipped with the technical expertise needed to close complex deals and expand customer relationships.

Key responsibilities include leading and growing a high-performing Sales Engineering team by recruiting, mentoring, and developing skilled sales engineers, fostering a culture of technical excellence, collaboration, and customer focus. You will partner with sales leadership to develop and execute technical sales strategies that align with company revenue goals. Additionally, you will guide the team in understanding complex customer requirements and designing tailored technical solutions leveraging Xometry's platform and services. Overseeing the delivery of compelling product demonstrations, technical presentations, and proof-of-concept engagements to enterprise clients is also a crucial aspect of this role.

The ideal candidate will have 12+ years of experience in sales engineering or solutions architecture, with at least 5 years in a leadership role. A proven track record of building, leading, and scaling high-performing sales engineering teams, preferably within a SaaS or marketplace environment, is essential. A strong technical background with a deep understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC Machining, 3D Printing, Sheet Metal Fabrication, and Injection Molding is required. Experience working with enterprise-level clients and managing complex sales cycles is also necessary. Exceptional presentation, communication, and interpersonal skills, along with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences, are critical for success in this role.

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $171,000 to $222,000 annually, plus commission, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
