Senior Product Designer
Xometry is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join our Product Design team, focusing on one of our core Product Areas. In this role, you will collaborate closely with a Product Design Lead, Product Managers, Engineers, and Researchers to create intuitive and scalable product experiences that empower manufacturers and buyers on the Xometry platform. This position emphasizes strong execution, collaboration, and the delivery of high-quality design work within both new and existing product directions.
Key responsibilities include designing user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity user interfaces for features and enhancements within your assigned Product Area. You will translate product requirements and user needs into clear, usable design solutions, working closely with Product, Engineering, and Research teams throughout the discovery, design, and delivery phases. Participation in design reviews, incorporation of feedback, and ensuring alignment with Xometry’s design system, accessibility standards, and usability best practices are essential aspects of this role. Additionally, you will support engineering handoff by providing clear specifications and design documentation, iterating quickly based on feedback, technical constraints, and changing priorities.
The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of product design experience working on digital products, with a strong portfolio demonstrating thoughtful UX, interaction design, and visual design. Experience collaborating with Product Managers and Engineers in agile product teams is crucial. Proficiency in Figma and modern design systems and workflows is required, along with the ability to clearly explain design decisions and incorporate feedback. Comfort working within defined product direction and constraints is also important.
Attention to detail and pride in high-quality execution will set you up for success in this role. Strong collaboration and communication skills, a willingness to ask questions when the context is unclear, and the ability to manage multiple design tasks and deadlines with guidance from a Design Lead are essential. An openness to learning, feedback, and continuous improvement is highly valued.
Experience with complex workflows, marketplaces, or B2B products is a plus. Familiarity with design systems and component-based design, as well as exposure to user research or data-informed design, will be advantageous.
