UX Research Intern
Xometry is seeking a UX Research Intern to join our dynamic team for the summer of 2026. As a leading on-demand manufacturing platform, Xometry connects innovators with manufacturers to bring ideas to life. This internship offers a unique opportunity to contribute to enhancing our user experience by conducting comprehensive research that aligns with our business objectives.
In this role, you will be responsible for conducting both qualitative and quantitative user research to gain insights into customer behaviors, needs, and challenges. Your tasks will include designing and executing studies such as user interviews, surveys, and usability tests, with guidance from the UX Research Lead. Analyzing and synthesizing research findings into actionable insights will be crucial to inform product and design decisions. Collaboration with product managers, designers, and engineers will ensure that user needs are central to our development process.
The ideal candidate is currently enrolled in an accredited college or university, with an expected graduation date in December 2026 or May 2027, and maintains a minimum GPA of 3.5. You should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills, an entrepreneurial spirit with a passion for problem-solving, and the ability to work full-time (40 hours per week) during the internship period from June 8 to August 14, 2026. Legal authorization to work in the United States and the ability to commute to our North Bethesda, MD, or Waltham, MA office for at least three days a week are required.
This is a temporary, full-time position offering an estimated base pay rate of $27.00 per hour, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location. The internship provides mentorship from experienced professionals, a dynamic and collaborative culture that values innovation and flexibility, and professional development opportunities in UX research methodologies, user interviews, usability testing, survey design, data storytelling, and stakeholder management.
