Threat Intelligence Lead (Position located in Arlington, Virginia)
The Threat Intelligence Lead at KnowBe4 is responsible for leading a team within the Threat Research Lab to analyze the cyber threat landscape and enhance the company's security solutions. This role involves researching criminal tactics, techniques, and procedures to ensure KnowBe4's offerings effectively mitigate emerging threats. The position is based in Arlington, Virginia, and contributes directly to the company's mission of reducing human risk across organizations.
Key responsibilities include leading research projects to generate additional revenue through cyber expertise, analyzing large datasets to identify threat trends across various regions and industries, and investigating phishing emails and malware. The role also involves translating technical threat intelligence for both internal and external stakeholders, assisting various departments with threat intelligence, and contributing to external-facing content such as blogs.
Candidates should possess a Bachelor's degree with at least five years of experience or a Master's degree with four years of experience, including a minimum of two years in a management role. Essential skills include proficiency in indicators of compromise (IOCs), reverse engineering, threat campaign tracking, and extensive experience in malicious URL and phishing email analysis. Familiarity with Python automation, strong public speaking abilities, and experience in customer-facing environments are also required.
