The Principal, Technology at Hut 8 is a pivotal role that provides daily operational support to the technology leader across five functional domains: Software Engineering, Data Science, IT, Networking, and Cybersecurity. This position is integral to transforming organizational priorities into coordinated execution, ensuring seamless integration and performance across all technology sectors. The role is based at Hut 8's corporate headquarters in the Brickell area of Miami, Florida.
In this capacity, the Principal, Technology manages the intake process, triages requests, and directs work to the appropriate domain leads. They prepare and coordinate leadership projects, agendas, decisions, and action items, maintaining visibility into cross-functional initiatives, dependencies, risks, and blocked work. Additionally, they support quarterly roadmap and portfolio planning, technology governance, audit, compliance, and control activities, and identify and implement process improvements to enhance operational efficiency.
Candidates should possess over five years of experience in technology project management, technical program management, business analysis, operations, or a related field. A strong understanding of project and portfolio management fundamentals, including scope, milestones, dependencies, risks, decisions, and ownership, is essential. Technical literacy sufficient to engage with engineering, data, infrastructure, networking, and cybersecurity teams is required, along with excellent written and verbal communication skills, organizational abilities, and sound judgment.
