Technical Lead Manager
The Technical Lead Manager at Point Digital Finance, Inc. will lead a senior engineering team focused on developing AI-driven customer experience agents, including voice, email, chat, and SMS interfaces. This role involves hands-on coding, setting technical direction, and collaborating with Product, Operations, and Customer Experience teams to enhance homeowner interactions. Point is a remote-first company dedicated to making homeownership more valuable and accessible.
Key responsibilities include defining the AI technical strategy for customer experience, owning the technical roadmap for AI-powered agents, writing and reviewing code, partnering with cross-functional teams to identify and implement AI solutions, establishing success metrics for agent performance, designing reliable agent architectures, leading and growing a senior engineering team, and driving observability and reliability across the AI agent stack.
The ideal candidate will have over 7 years of software engineering experience, including at least 2 years leading or managing engineering teams. They should have proven experience developing and shipping LLM-powered, conversational AI, or agentic systems, a track record of delivering customer-facing products end-to-end, strong ability to partner with cross-functional stakeholders, deep systems design expertise, demonstrated technical leadership, experience defining and driving technical strategy for AI-driven customer experiences, proven ability to hire and develop high-performing engineering teams, hands-on experience with LLM and agent development, comfort making build-vs-buy decisions, familiarity with conversational AI infrastructure, experience with AI/ML evaluation and observability, and a Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Compensation for this role ranges from 188,080 to 207,878 CAD annually, depending on skills, experience, and geographic location. This does not include potential components such as equity, benefits, and perks.
