Xometry is seeking highly motivated Mechanical Engineers to serve as customer-facing Technical Account Managers (TAMs). In this role, TAMs will be embedded within our most strategic accounts, acting as an extension of their engineering teams. This position offers a unique blend of customer engagement, technical expertise, and operational execution, reporting to Operations while closely collaborating with Sales to drive growth and ensure customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities include becoming a trusted advisor and technical expert for assigned enterprise accounts, conducting weekly onsite visits to build relationships and understand customer needs, and collaborating closely with customer engineers on Design for Manufacturing (DFM) to optimize projects for Xometry's platform. TAMs will proactively identify and address potential manufacturing challenges and stay informed about upcoming customer projects to ensure alignment with Xometry's capabilities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field such as Aerospace Engineering, Product Design/Development, or Industrial Engineering. Candidates should have 7+ years of experience in manufacturing, product development, and project management, with a strong understanding of manufacturing processes and DFM principles, particularly as they apply to CNC applications. Experience in the aerospace industry is highly preferred, along with proficiency in modeling and drafting software such as SolidWorks, and experience with CRM systems like Salesforce. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills are essential.

The estimated base salary range for new hires into this role is $117,000 to $152,000 annually, plus commission, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location. Xometry also offers a competitive benefits package, including 401(k) match, medical, dental, and vision insurance; life and disability insurance; generous paid time off including vacation, sick leave, floating and fixed holidays, maternity and bonding leave; employee assistance programs; and other well-being resources.

Joining Xometry provides an opportunity to be part of a dynamic and growing company at the forefront of digital manufacturing. TAMs will play a critical role in driving customer success and satisfaction, contributing to the company's mission of connecting people with big ideas to the manufacturers who can bring them to life.
