As a Tax Law Expert at xAI, you will play a pivotal role in advancing our AI systems by providing high-quality data annotations and inputs tailored to complex tax law contexts. Your expertise will directly influence the accuracy and effectiveness of AI models in understanding intricate tax scenarios, including wealth transfer taxation, trust and estate planning, and charitable gifting strategies. This position offers the flexibility of remote work, allowing you to contribute to cutting-edge technology from anywhere.
In this role, you will collaborate closely with technical teams to refine annotation tools and curate impactful data. Your responsibilities will include utilizing proprietary software to provide accurate inputs and labels for tax law projects, ensuring high-quality data for AI model training. You will deliver curated data for scenarios involving complex structures for clients, such as trust and estate taxation documents, private foundation materials, and tax opinions on diverse assets. Additionally, you will assist in designing and improving efficient annotation tools tailored for tax law and wealth planning documentation.
To be considered for this position, you should possess a Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree and active admission to a state bar. Professional experience at a top-tier white-shoe law firm and/or a leading boutique tax firm is highly desirable. Direct experience in sophisticated tax law work, including drafting and reviewing trust and estate planning documents, private foundation materials, and complex wealth transfer structures, is essential. A strong understanding of federal and state income taxation, estate and gift taxation, private client services, and regulatory compliance in high-wealth scenarios is required. Proficiency in reading and writing informal and professional English, along with strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills, is necessary.
This position offers competitive compensation, with hourly rates ranging from $45 to $100, depending on experience and qualifications. Specific benefits vary by country; depending on your country of residence, you may have access to medical benefits. Please note that benefits are not offered for part-time roles.
