Xometry is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team in Sacramento, California. In this role, you will lead supplier quality initiatives, collaborating with internal departments and our extensive supplier network to ensure the delivery of high-quality products. This position offers the opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment focused on continuous improvement and problem-solving.

As a Supplier Quality Engineer, your primary responsibilities will include performing onsite inspections at partner facilities, conducting audits and onboarding activities, and initiating corrective and preventive actions. You will analyze systemic return material authorization (RMA) trends, facilitate cross-functional team workshops to reduce non-conformances, and provide technical support to partners regarding quality issues. Additionally, you will utilize big data analytics to identify performance trends and develop quality objectives aligned with Xometry's vision.

The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor's degree in engineering or equivalent experience, with a minimum of seven years in engineering or quality roles and at least five years in supplier-facing positions. Strong experience in quality assurance and partner development is essential, along with proficiency in advanced product quality planning (APQP), design for manufacturability (DFM), and design for quality (DFQ). Familiarity with geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T) tools, mechanical processing knowledge, and the ability to interpret technical drawings are also required. Certification as an ISO standards auditor and the ability to travel up to 50% within California are necessary.

Xometry offers a competitive compensation package, with an estimated base salary range of $84,000 to $109,000 annually, depending on factors such as job-related skills, relevant experience, and location.
