Strategic Account Executive, UK
The Strategic Account Executive role at EDB is a pivotal position within the EMEA Sales Team, focusing on the UK region. This individual will serve as the primary customer relationship owner, responsible for developing and executing both strategic and tactical sales plans. The role involves engaging with top-tier banking, financial services, consumer, and retail markets to identify and capitalize on revenue opportunities.
Key responsibilities include meeting and exceeding sales quotas through strategic selling of EDB's products to key decision-makers. The executive will generate and grow new annual recurring revenue (ARR) license revenue in assigned accounts and territories. Utilizing solution-selling and ROI-driven methodologies, the role requires developing and maintaining sales plans, metrics, and strategies to deliver annual sales targets. Additionally, the position involves qualifying and cultivating leads from various sources, building strong relationships to foster growth opportunities, and collaborating with Sales Engineers to present pre-sales demos and assessments.
The ideal candidate will have over five years of enterprise software sales experience, with a proven track record in selling complex enterprise software solutions into relevant markets. Strong experience in selling to tier 1 and 2 banking and financial services, information technology, telecommunications, communications and media, manufacturing, or government sectors is expected. The candidate should possess exceptional communication and personal skills, the ability to manage multiple opportunities to meet deadlines, and a strong acumen in technology to articulate solution value propositions effectively. Proficiency with productivity tools such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google Docs is also required.
