Staff Software Engineer, Electronic Trading
As a Staff Software Engineer on Ridgeline's Trading team, you will play a pivotal role in developing high-quality, complex applications for our Electronic Trading solution. Ridgeline is a modern, cloud-native platform dedicated to transforming the investment management industry. Our engineering team is building from the ground up using cutting-edge technologies in a fast-paced, creative environment, aiming to redefine industry standards.
In this role, you will be involved in the entire software development process, from requirements gathering and design reviews to the implementation of new products. Your responsibilities will include contributing design skills and technical expertise, impacting a developing tech stack based on modern front-end frameworks and efficient utilization of AWS back-end services, and participating in the creation of developer-based automation that leads to scalable, high-quality applications. Additionally, you will coach, mentor, and inspire teams of product engineers to deliver high-performing, secure enterprise applications.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related discipline, with over 8 years of experience in software engineering, including a history of architecting and designing for high performance and high availability. Proficiency in backend or full-stack development using Java/Kotlin is essential, along with experience in electronic trading, order management, asset management, or investment banking. A strong understanding of automated testing at all levels and experience building cloud-native applications on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud are also required. Familiarity with web front-end technologies like React, JavaScript, and TypeScript, and a willingness to participate in full-stack development, are advantageous.
Ridgeline offers a competitive compensation package, with a typical starting salary range of $174,500 to $205,000, and up to $220,000 in select locations such as the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City Metro Area.
