Staff Site Reliability Engineer (Remote)
The Staff Site Reliability Engineer at KnowBe4 plays a pivotal role in ensuring the reliability, security, scalability, and efficiency of the company's platforms. As part of the Site Reliability Engineering team, this position collaborates closely with other engineers in a dynamic, agile development environment. In this role, the engineer will be responsible for identifying and planning preventive measures for production incidents, designing globally distributed systems and processes, and addressing deficiencies in current applications and infrastructure. They will define tailored solutions to complex technical problems, contribute to technological advancements that may result in patents or publications, and translate KnowBe4's strategic goals into actionable operational plans. Additionally, the engineer may lead larger sub-projects or entire small projects, coordinating across functional boundaries to ensure seamless integration and performance.
Candidates should possess a BS, MS, or Ph.D. with at least 8 years of experience in the field. Proficiency in multiple programming languages, including Python, Ruby, and JavaScript, is essential. Experience in architecting complex, high-scale patterns in AWS and designing repeatable workflows for continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) is required. Strong communication and documentation skills, the ability to self-manage time across competing projects, and a deep understanding of complex distributed systems are crucial. AWS Cloud Certification(s) at the Associate Level are mandatory, with Professional Level certifications being preferred.
The base salary for this position ranges from $170,000 to $210,000 annually, depending on the candidate's skills and experience.
