Staff Product Manager, Personalization - Foundations
Headspace is seeking a Staff Product Manager to lead the development of its Personalization Foundations platform. This role involves managing centralized user and content data layers, segmentation infrastructure, and core machine learning services that drive personalized experiences across the Headspace product suite. The position requires a blend of product management expertise, technical knowledge in data and machine learning platforms, and a commitment to enhancing member journeys.
Key responsibilities include defining the long-term vision and strategy for the Personalization Foundations platform, overseeing the product roadmap, and collaborating with leadership. The role entails leading product strategy and execution for workstreams such as customer and content embeddings, real-time event processing, segmentation tooling, model deployment and A/B testing, data governance, and content type balance. Additionally, the position involves managing the entire product lifecycle for core platform capabilities, from ideation through development, launch, and iteration, ensuring high-quality and timely delivery.
Candidates should have over six years of product management experience, including at least two years focused on data platforms, machine learning infrastructure, or consumer/content personalization services. A proven track record of launching successful platform products that serve as internal services for other product teams is essential. Strong strategic thinking, analytical skills, and the ability to translate complex data and machine learning challenges into clear product roadmaps are required. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, along with experience working closely with machine learning engineering and data science teams on high-scale, real-time systems, are also necessary.
The anticipated base salary range for this full-time position is $140,400 to $224,250, plus equity and benefits. Compensation is determined by factors such as location, relevant experience, job-related skills, and education or training.
